This conference has already happened. It was great!
We may or may not do it again next year, depending on how many are interested. If you are interested, send me an email.
Below are the details of last years conference, so you can see what it was about.
Date: May 5-6 2007 (Sat.-Sun.)
Time: Saturday May 5 th 2pm - Sunday noon and beyond
Where: Bryan, TX. Directions will be provided when you register.
Details:
- This conference is for all home churchers, their families (children welcome) or anyone who has an interest in learning about house church.
- All donations will be rejected. No “love offerings” or passing of plates.
- Everyone will be encouraged to share and participate
- There will be a few speakers.
- We will worship (if you have a song to sing or teach us, bring it)
- Discussions will include but will not be limited to:
- Meeting New Testament style
- How to make sure your house church does not survive.
- Tithing
- Leadership, offices and titles
- Q & A Sessions
- How to undo traditional church teaching
- Sharing life together vs. being “meeting centered”
- Our only real agenda will be what the Holy Spirit leads in.
- It will be held in a large country home (it’s a home church conference!)
- A meal will be provided for everyone Sat. evening. Eat lunch before you come. Sunday morning we will have a small breakfast.
- There are hotels nearby in Hearne and Bryan. You are also welcome to spend the night in our homes (we have quite a bit of room, or bring a tent build a fire and camp outside (we have a lot of land).
- We have plenty for the kids to do outside or they can be in the sessions (if you do choose to have your little children in the sessions, we politely ask that you please require them to be reasonably quiet and still)
- We will barbeque, laugh, sing, visit, discuss, learn from one another and worship our Lord!
- The weekend will be unprofessional, unpolished and unpredictable.
